Testimonies
In the following section I want to give you the opportunity to read the testimonies of former Jewish inhabitants of Laa and the surrounding area (Mistelbach). The letters, which many of the Jewish people from Laa sent me, are and expressions of their thoughts and feelings and tell about their lives. But a few have also written down their testimonials. All testimonals are available in the German version at this point and I will make them available in English, too, as soon as my time allows.
The life-story of Karola Österreicher is really worth reading. She is the only person from Laa, who survived Auschwitz. You can also get to know her better when browsing through her photo-album.
Felix Yokel, PhD, has written his life-story, which tell about his life, that started in Laa and brought him to Israel and then to the USA. His eldest son Uri added an epilogue. You can also see a photo-album, that is supposed to commemorate him and his parents, who lost their lives in the holocaust.
